Jermell Charlo will challenge Canelo ‘Saul’ Alvarez for the undisputed super-Middleweight champion on September 30. Charlo last fought in 2021 and has only competed thrice in the last four years. Not to mention, the junior Middleweight champion is moving up in weight class to face, ‘Saul,’ and would have a significant weight advantage. Meanwhile, Alvarez, 33, is in his fighting prime and is more than active. Apart from that, his new deal under ‘PBC,’ guarantees him $100 million for his next three fights. Needless to say, the Mexican boxer will be motivated to be in the best shape possible.
Moreover, many consider Charlo to be biting more than he can chew and betting odds reflect a similar opinion. However, Charlo is short of no confidence and far from intimated by the size difference. If anything, he thinks he is not undersized. So let’s wait no further and dive right into his recent comments.
