Jesus Ramos may just have been robbed in broad daylight. At least, the fans believe so. The boxer went against Erickson Lubin in a title eliminator bout. The fight was brutal and went on for all of its 12 rounds right before the Canelo vs. Charlo fight. When the scorecards were declared, people became furious.

The T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas was packed with about 20,000 people. Boxing enthusiasts with sheer adrenaline in their veins. The fight was just a little fuse to the powder keg once the results came out. Ramos did not win in spite of his superior performance. Here’s what fans had to say on Twitter.

Fans disgruntled after Erickson Lubin takes the win

After 12 rounds of exchanging blows, the fight finally ended. While it could have been a close call, the real situation was far from it. Many fans felt that Ramos clearly outboxed Lubin if you looked at the whole picture. Unfortunately, the judges did not feel the same way. The scorecards reflected a unanimous decision victory for Lubin (115-113, 116-112, 117-111). Here are some angry takes from X.

While some fans were completely bewildered by the decision win, others were shocked in agony. It was difficult to let it sink that the fight actually went to Lubin.

Finally, some Lubin supporters too showed their faith in the fighter while not using more than four words and an emoji.

The win was certainly controversial. Fans are clearly not in a great mood and some are left wondering, will the final fight also be as anti-climatic as this one. Canelo vs. Charlo is something everyone has been looking forward to. However, if that fight too has a similar fate, a lot of fans are going to be left unfulfilled and angry. So what really happened? Ramos outboxed Lubin as the rounds went on

In the first round, Ramos looked dominant with jabs landing everywhere for him. Moving forward he landed multiple combos and focused himself on body shots. While his shots didn’t go unanswered, by the third round, Erickson Lubin looked like he had taken some pretty serious damage.

By round 10, both men looked tired and struggling to handle the jabs and hooks. The round ended with the two struggling against the ropes before the last two rounds clocked in. In rounds 11 and 12, the pace had gone down much to the fans’ dismay. Clearly, the two had started running out of energy as the 11th round ended with a bunch of failed punches from both of them.
