With a Standing Offer From Saudi Royalty, Devin Haney Seeks Help From Shawn Porter in Securing a Potential Gervonta Davis Bout

If it were ever close to happening, it would be now in 2024! The Devin Haney – Gervonta Davis saga continues as both parties fire shots at each other on social media. In their latest verbal jabs, however, ‘The Dream’ seeks help from Shawn Porter to make a fight against ‘Tank’ Davis real. The update comes after a special offer right from Saudi Arabia.

A handful of hours ago, Turki Alalshikh appeared in an interview with Ade Oladipo from DAZN, wishing to host a fight between Haney and Davis in his country. The Saudi Royal even claimed to have sent messages to both parties. Meanwhile, hours after the news was released on YouTube, the undisputed super lightweight champion turned to X, asking Porter for help secure a fight with ‘Tank.’

Devin Haney is ready for a fight

Before ‘The Dream’ reached out to Porter, ‘Tank’ questioned why he would be scared of someone whom he had beaten in the gym already, referring to Devin Haney while roping in Porter. So, the retired boxer wrote back, claiming, “Neither one of y’all want the fight right now.” However, as Alalshikh’s offer for the Haney vs. Davis fight came to light, Haney hopped on X.

“I’ve been calling that dude out for years… He only says something when I got a fight,” wrote Haney. However, the San Francisco native suggests he is not occupied in a fight right now, so he is ready to fight ‘Tank’ “wherever he chooses!” Furthermore, Haney claimed Davis had told his team that they didn’t know how to reach out to him, so Haney asked Porter, “Have your people reach out [to] Gervonta.” However, the bigger question is  – why would ‘Tank’ say Haney didn’t know how to reach out to him?

Gervonta Davis confirms $20 million refusal

After Haney defeated Regis Prograis in December, in a bid to secure a fight against Gervonta Davis, Bill Haney offered Davis $20 million guaranteed for a fight. However, the Baltimore native refused the offer by claiming Bill didn’t know how to reach out to him. In a now-deleted post, ‘Tank’ wrote, “Bill can’t even reach the n***a he need to talk to, but for sure I’m turning down 20 mill guaranteed.”

Meanwhile, after Bill discovered the refusal, he was left in disbelief as he reacted to the news. The same was later picked up by Fight Hub TV and shared on YouTube. Bill said, “He done turned down twenty-million bro, twenty-million? You done turned down twenty million guaranteed. Twenty-million, bro, twenty-million guaranteed, are you serious bro?”
