In true NBA fashion, the Damian Lillard Trade saga has taken a dramatic turn. While the offseason was rife with Dame’s trade rumors with the Miami Heat. Even days before training camp, nothing seemed conclusive. For fans, the suspense was truly a nail-biter.

Despite the heavy speculation, Dame time won’t be ticking in Maimi. The Milwaukee Bucks have acquired the seven-time all-star. Although, Jimmy Butler is extremely salty about the trade slamming Giannis Antetokounmpo. Damian Lillard issues a response to the bombshell announcement.

Damian Lillard breaks silence on “Betrayal” Comments

It is undeniable that Damian Lillard is now a part of a semi-partial Super Team. Joining forces with the Greek Freak they can take league by storm. Jimmy Butler tweeted his disappointment with the trade writing, “The NBA, man … y’all need to look into the Bucks for tampering. You didn’t hear it from me, but I heard it from somebody.” 

While Dame has refrained from addressing those comments. He issued a statement in lieu of his transfer to the Bucks, ” The casuals won’t be addressed but the trailblazers fans and city of Portland that I love truly will be … and they will be addressed truthfully. Stay tuned Excited for my next chapter!”.

However, something sticks out the most about the former Rookie of the Year’s departure to the Bucks. Dame went on record criticizing Stephen Curry and the Warriors Super team stating, I’d never’ join Steph Curry’s Warriors; Rather, lose every year “. In the following days, these comments will haunt Dame’s trade to the Bucks, as it sounds a bit out of tune. Do you think Dame’s comments were justified? Are the Bucks the New Super team in the NBA?

Damian Lillard Echoes Kevin Durant

Kevin Durant joined the Warriors, making them a super team back in 2017. Despite the Dubs losing their 73-win season. Damian Lillard recently commented on that stating, “I’ve said this plenty of times before. I think KD is obviously one of the greatest players of all time.” He further added, “But if I was in his shoes, I wouldn’t have done that personally”. 

Today, Lillard found himself in a situation similar to the Slim Reaper. However, we find him wearing the same “shoes” as Durant. With the Bucks, leading the Eastern Conference last season and losing in dramatic fashion.
