Now that he’s hosting a current events-based show, Charles Barkley is being extra vocal about his opinions. He was on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, accompanied by his CNN co-host, Gayle King this week. In accordance with the format of King Charles, Colbert’s guests delved into an incident that has the world reeling. Travelers everywhere have been feeling anxious ever since reports surfaced of an Alaska Airlines aircraft suffering an in-flight blowout of an entire panel on January 5. Inspections ensued and it was found that the bolts on at least five door plugs weren’t tight enough on some grounded planes.
Gayle King also expressed her fright over such an incident. Charles Barkley summarized it as a straightforward human error. “Somebody needs to get fired.” The 1993 NBA MVP explained, “If you puttin’ a door in an airplane and you don’t put the bolts on, that’s a fireable offense.” The live studio audience, though thoroughly amused, agreed with Chuck. Both Colbert and King chimed in that there are “no second chances” and “no warnings” for this mistake either.

Charles Barkley is secure about King Charles
Though a ratings bomb, Barkley told his CNN team there’s nothing to worry about. He doesn’t care for Neilsen and the reviews calling King Charles a failure. He even joked about the reports alleging he and King are on bad terms.
While on Colbert, both media personalities reiterated they only agreed to the show because they wanted to work with each other. King explained the premise of King Charles, and added, “Charles always says this, ‘We never have to worry about having stuff to talk about because people do dumb [expletive] all the time.'”

Chuck clearly puts the Boeing incident in that category. But he believes their show is “cool” due to the range of topics that can change between 24 to 72 hours. What remains constant is “unapologetic” Charles Barkley. Social media users claim his knack for being brutally honest on The Late Show has already won over new fans to King Charles.
