NBA legend Dwyane Wade‘s influence extends beyond the hard court. His transition from an athlete to a true leader of men, even outside the court, reflects his personal growth and maturity. As The Flash is ready to enter the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame this weekend, he made an appearance on The Dan LeBatard Show, where he opened up about his career and family. This made the host extend his gratitude and love to the player, which in turn, made Wade emotional.

Dan added, “What an adult this human being has become. Better at adulthood than at basketball somehow, so it really is an honor, Dwayne. I don’t know what people say to compliment you the most, but it has really been an honor to watch you grow up and become a leader in America in every way.”
Dan also lauded D-Wade’s image to be the beacon of how to love and live with authenticity. As The Flash prepares himself for the well-deserved induction into the Hall of Fame, his legacy as an inspiration and a role model has already been cemented.

Hearing all the praises from Dan, Wade, being his own humble self, said, “Don’t make me cry on here um the Hall of Fame ain’t even happen yet you can’t make me cry yet. I’m sure I’ve made a lot of mistakes, but hopefully, I’ve done more good than bad.”

The 3x NBA champion is also a devoted family man and a doting father to his four children. From moving out of his beloved city, Miami to California for his daughter, Zaya, to taking a stand for his son, Zaire, D-Wade does all for his loved ones.

His children feel the same way about him that he does about them. This exemplifies the enormous character of the former NBA star. As he gears up for possibly the highest honor in basketball, he is not done being a role model yet. As has been the case throughout his career, Wade will continue moving forward and making sure he leaves a lasting impact.
