While highlighting his support for the King, the Sacramento Kings legend stated that Anthony Davis could also prove to be a difference maker. Notably, Cousins played alongside the Brow in New Orleans from 2017 to 2018. Two years later, the bigs would reunite in LA. Unfortunately, Boogie would tear his ACL in August 2020. 2 years later, he was out of the league.
History aside, the 4x NBA All Star has chosen his pick for the upcoming game. And with the stellar record that James boasts on Christmas, it’s likely that he will prove Cousins right.
LeBron James’ previous success with Christmas games
LeBron is no novice when it comes to Christmas games. He has played in almost 17 games during the 25th of December, the most for any player out there. At the same time, he has amassed a total of 460 points during said games, while maintaining an average of 27.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, 7.0 assists, and 1.5 steals. But his best Christmas Game continues to be that time when he faced off against the Dallas Mavericks in 2011.
Having bitterly lost to the team during the previous, King James was all set to take his revenge. Joined by his elite team consisting of Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, James and the Mavericks put up a commendable offense and held their own in terms of defense as well.
