There’s no feud more bitter in NBA history than the one between Michael Jordan and Isiah Thomas. 30 years on, it shows no sign of dying down with the release of MJ’s documentary, The Last Dance. Thomas had a heated response to how Jordan referred to him in the documentary. And he took a jab at Jordan’s favorite sport after basketball. And months later, what does Thomas do? Pick up golf clubs and hit the greens.
Zeke shared his latest activity with his 660k Instagram followers, and it was interesting to say the least. Now there’s no rule saying that Thomas can’t play golf. But the sport has come up in his feud with Jordan before.

Isiah Thomas Hits the Greens
12-time NBA All-Star, Isiah Thomas has done a lot of things since retiring in 1994. He’s an entrepreneur, worked as an NBA executive and coach, is an NBA analyst, and even had a role in the WNBA. With such a busy schedule, he’s allowed to indulge in some hobbies. It appears his latest hobby is golf.
He shared his golf fashion with a picture from the course on Instagram. “Need Less, Instead of Wanting More….” he captioned the post. His followers were all impressed by his new hobby. A good few NBA players enjoy golf and they hope to see Thomas become a regular.
If he does, maybe he’ll go up against an old rival from his NBA days. That is, of course, Michael Jordan, the one who gets Zeke’s blood boiling.

MJ is an avid golfer. Together with Charles Barkley, he indulged in the game with PGA stars like Tiger Woods since the ’90s. Golf also had a role in Thomas and Jordan’s feud. That adds a different context to the Pistons icon taking up golf.
Isiah Thomas Took a Dig at Jordan’s Golf Passion
There are some infamous incidents during the course of Isiah Thomas and Michael Jordan’s decades-long feud. One of them was in a Magic Johnson-organized charity game. After winning back to back championships in 1989 and 1990, the former Detroit Pistons Guard was invited along with Michael Jordan who had yet to win a single title in six seasons.
Jordan was, however, late to the game because he was, you guessed it, playing golf. He delayed tip-off and infuriated Thomas. There’s also the infamous Dream Team debacle, where Jordan was directly responsible for Zeke’s exclusion from the Olympic squad.

Most recently, Jordan blatantly called Thomas an “a**hole” in The Last Dance. Once again, he provoked Thomas to respond.

He got heated during an appearance on Showtime Basketball demanding a public apology from Jordan. “Now I’m the one who’s looking like, Oh, why are you talking about Jordan! Why are you saying it right when you put that out there. And now you at home or on your golf course or doing whatever you do and now I gotta answer this BS question.”

Zeke obviously didn’t like that Jordan gets to coolly continue play golf after cussing him out. Maybe hitting a few holes will calm him down.
