Marcus Jordan Drops His ‘Step-Parental’ Strategy Despite Larsa Pippen’s Daughter’s Approval

After refuting rumors about Michael Jordan’s son, Larsa Pippen made her relationship with Marcus Jordan Instagram official in January 2023. A year since then, we’re not only seeing more of Marcus’ relationship with Larsa but also with her kids through the Real Housewives of Miami. Marcus’ older girlfriend is a mom of four with her ex-husband, Scottie Pippen. On RHOM, we see her checking the temperature with her kids regarding her relationship.

The youngest Pippen, Sophia, gave her mom’s new relationship a glowing review. “He’s so much fun,” she said about Marcus. Jordan would confess he’s trying to be a friend and support to Larsa’ kids instead of being another parent figure.

“I think when it comes to Larsa’s kids, you know, I’m not looking to be a secondary parent,” he said in a joint confessional with Larsa on RHOM. “I’m looking to be more so of a support system. The same way I am for Larsa – I want to support her and her kids.”

The confessional came after Larsa asked Sophia’s permission for Marcus to join them for dinner. She also asked her daughter if she was “comfortable” having Marcus around. Sophia replied by giving her mom’s boyfriend her approval.

Marcus does get along with Larsa’s kids. He’s always shown his admiration for her as a mom. She also showed the sweet gesture Marcus and the kids did for her together on Mother’s Day.

Scottie Pippen shares parental duties of the youngest four of his seven children with Larsa Pippen. They agreed to joint legal and physical custody when they finalized their 2021 divorce. Despite the divorce leaving a bitter aftertaste, Larsa claimed they have a good co-parenting relationship.

After Marcus Jordan’s Christmas eve birthday followed by Christmas Day, Larsa Pippen was celebrating Sophia’s 15th birthday on December 26. The young model also got the sweetest messages from her dad and her brothers, Scotty Jr., Preston, and Justin.

It’s another one of the moments where Scottie and Larsa have shown a united front when it comes to their kids. Larsa confirmed that her co-parenting relationship with Scottie is “great.” She added that they have the same parenting philosophies and agree on most things regarding them.

They agreed to split custody time during the holidays while she and Marcus also divided time between L.A. and Miami. She said that now that they’re older, the kids enjoy spending more time with their dad, but, “they get to enjoy their time with us,” referring to her and Marcus.

Before his admission on the show, Marcus and Larsa tiptoed around the topic of having more kids on their Separation Anxiety podcast. Larsa is leaving it up to time. Until then, Marcus is fueling their engagement rumors.
