Can you imagine a list of the top 10 greatest NBA legends of all time without Kobe Bryant and LeBron James? Well, recently, one of the former NBA icons, Julius Erving, shared a similar list that immediately caused a lot of noise among the fans and the public. Several NBA stars have since chipped in to give their own opinions on his list.
Former NBA player Kendrick Perkins also didn’t hold back from sharing what he really feels about Dr. J’s list. And that comment might disappoint veteran stars, Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley.

Kendrick Perkins reacts to Julius Erving’s list with sketchy comment
NBA champion Perkins shared his opinion in a conversation during the ‘Pat Bev Podcast’. Revealing his disappointment with Dr. J’s list, he shared, “Old heads have a problem with giving more credit to the new generation. We need to face it. The new generation is just way more skilled than you all.”

He continued, “He came up with a bougie list and I am just sitting up here and saying it to myself. I just don’t understand. I have so many young guys that pay homage to all the great that paved the way, but they don’t get the same in return.”
Shaquille O’Neal and Charles Barkley unbothered by Erving’s list
Another legend who was kept away from the list is 4-time NBA champion, Shaquille O’Neal. However, ‘Big Aristotle’ has shared that he is fine with the roster. It’s no secret that the 4-time NBA champion and ‘Sir Charles’ are also legendary players who were inspired by Dr. J.

In fact, O’Neal once shared that he began to play basketball after watching Dr. J’s game. ‘Chuck’ has also expressed his admiration for the legend. The 60-year-old revealed how Erving helped him by giving valuable financial advice. And it’s quite clear how both the legends hold the 73-year-old player in high regard.
While it’s not certain if the comment made Barkley and O’Neal upset, it might have an impact on the other listeners. What are your thoughts? Tell us in the comments.
