Shaquille O’Neal is loving his Kultured Misfits avatar and the Big Man’s family is all set to cheer for him. Recently Shaq’s 27-year-old daughter Taahirah O’Neal posted a clip of her old man on her Instagram story. Shaq can be seen wearing a blue color sweatshirt with the iconic Shaq glasses.
Needless to say, the Big Man kills it with the look. Taahirah can be heard saying rapper Cardi B’s iconic catchphrase “Okurrr…period” in the background as Shaq slowly moves away from the screen in swag. Shaq and Kultured Misfits have been working together for the past couple of years and have stated their future plans on several occasions.

Shaquille O’Neal is a Kultured Misfit
That tagline seems a bit out of place for someone who represents the culture to the fullest. But we all know Shaq’s genius when it comes to promoting something he has an interest in. So while the LA Lakers legend does a small runway walk for the family, Taahirah made her commitments clear. She captioned her story, “…and imma hype him up every time.” Shaq’s association with the brand goes back years now. When asked about what he saw in Kultured Misfits that got his attention, the Big Man said he understands what the company stands for.

The Founder and Creative Director of the brand Lindsay Barnette said that she met Shaq in November 2021 with the Kultured Misfits plan. The Big Man said, “I liked that she already had her messaging on point. She had her marketing on point. It was different. It was really different”. Shaq was particularly impressed by the early access he had as Barnette gave him some products during the Inside the NBA show.

Barnette also worked at TNT and that is where she met Shaq a lot of times but the idea of working with him for her brand was only discussed in 2021.

Shaq recalled on the Big Podcast that Barnette always gave him products and didn’t want anything in return. But the Big Man really has a big heart and therefore didn’t agree to her terms. The 4x NBA champion in his two years and still ongoing connection with the brand has done promotional campaigns for them. Their SHAQ X QUAVO X KULTURED MISFITS COLLAB COLLECTION is among the best sellers for the emerging fashion powerhouse.
