Usually, diehard fans with the spending capacity are willing to spill blood to get their hands on Michael Jordan memorabilia. Jordan’s used items from his NBA career are valued at millions. But the billionaire has one asset from his career with the Chicago Bulls that he’s not able to get off his hands. A YouTube-famous realtor is revealing what the spectacular property owned by ‘His Airness’ is.

Enes Yilmazer revealed the biggest MJ23 memorabilia yet. That is the multi-million residence of Jordan from his playing era. Despite other Jordan-mementos selling easily, this one has been on the NBA champion’s portfolio for over a decade.

Jordan’s Chicago mansion is still on the market

Enes Yilmazer, a realtor who gives tours of luxury homes on his YouTube channel, worked on showcasing his most favorite property for a year. This is one of the many luxurious estates owned by Michael Jordan. The sprawling 56,000 sq.ft. mansion is on a 7-acre compound in Highland Park, Illinois.

He bought the home, originally valued at $29 million approximately, in 1991. He renovated it to his exact specifics, which were completed in 1995. The home boasts nine rooms, 15 bathrooms, a basketball court, tennis court, putting green and a pond.

The highlight, as Yilmazer’s video showcases from the get-go, is the massive no.23 on the gates that greet everyone who enters the property. As beautiful and exotic as the mansion is, some realtors believe the #23 gate is making a sale very difficult as even under a new owner, the house will still scream Michael Jordan.

Jordan listed the property for sale in 2012 for $29 million. But it has failed to attract buyers in over a decade. The more you watch Yilmazer’s house tour, the more it becomes obvious the visible MJ touches like the Jordan Brand flags would be a huge burden to renovate and call your own.

MJ’s old home is hurting him

Other MJ memorabilia like his game-worn Nike Air Ships are increasing in value with the passage of time. The same can’t be said about his home. He managed to sell a condo in Chicago but hasn’t been able to get his mansion off his property portfolio.

Jordan has even discounted the original listing price. As of 2023 reports and following Yilmazer’s house tour vlog, the Highland Park estate is valued at $14 million. That’s half of what he intended to sell it for in 2012.

This is still not making it easy on Jordan. With every year it doesn’t sell, Jordan is reportedly paying around $100,000 in taxes on it even while it remains void of residents.

The last time his mansion was a hot topic was in April when an 18-year-old was arrested for breaking into the abandoned mansion and showing it on TikTok. Meanwhile, Jordan and his wife, Yvette Prieto, spend the majority of their time in Florida in a $12 million mansion.
