The biggest showdown this week was between AEW and WWE. Both the promotions had broadcasted their shows on the same day at the same time. As they were aired on two completely different networks the race was to get more and more audience. But in this competition, John Cena stunned fans by appearing on both networks.

John Cena’s win-win situation

WWE NXT is broadcast by the USA Network. On the other hand, AEW Dynamite is aired on TBS. John Cena made a striking brief appearance on the AEW’s broadcasting partner, TBS. While The Leader of the Cenation was seen multiple times on the NXT, talking with Carmelo Hayes, he was simultaneously seen being a part of an advertisement on the TBS network.

WWE and AEW were at odds for this week. AEW Dynamite which is usually aired on Wednesdays was moved to Tuesday for this week as TBS will be airing Major League Baseball playoffs this week. This meant a clash with WWE’s NXT, which was loaded with superstars such as Cena and Cody Rhodes.

But as John Cena was gearing up to feature on NXT, he decided to promote the show in his own, snarky and sarcastic way.

In a promo shot, John Cena can be seen talking to the camera and addressing fans. He said that somewhere down the line he created an image that he is the advise guy. After discussing how he gave a piece of advice to Carmelo Hayes, he shifted his focus to Paul Heyman. he gave him a bit of advice that according to him would be good for Heyman.  After that, he told the audience that his advice to them was not to miss this week’s NXT. He talked about all the people who will be appearing along with the matches which fans will get to see. But apart from this, he made sure to promote the show on a personal level as well.

Cena posted a picture on his X (former Twitter) account. He was seen standing in front of the NXT entrance. Along with that, he wrote a caption saying, “There is only one place to be tonight”. This came as an answer to the aggressive campaign by Tony Khan. Since it was announced that AEW Dynamite will be on a Tuesday instead of the usual Wednesdays, Khan made sure that he advertised his promotion’s upcoming episode well. He mentioned in various tweets about the stars who will appear along with the date, time, and broadcasting network.
