The former WWE official stated that the 37-year-old AEW wrestler should have “an involuntary mental evaluation” for going to such lengths in his matches.

Jim Cornette slams Jon Moxley over his recent NJPW match!
Jon Moxley debuted in AEW in 2019 and has been a top star of the company. He also wrestles for NJPW occasionally in his signature brutal style. In a recent NJPW match, ‘The Purveyor of Violence’ had a bunch of chopsticks stabbed into his head.

The NJPW match was too violent to watch for many wrestling critics and fans. Jim Cornette gave his honest and brutal opinion on it in an episode of his podcast, Jim Cornette Experience.

The 61-year-old said, “So maybe the guy just bopped all in at the same time which must have smarted because this f**king moron is sitting there and letting them do that. Because he is a f**king idiot. And I’m telling you at this point somebody needs to have him checked in for an involuntary mental evaluation because something is going on.”

It was the NJPW Strong Independence show that proved to be more than the audience could handle. Moxley partnered up with Homicide against Jun Kasai and El Desperado in an Exciting Encounter Doomsday No DQ match. The spot was painful to watch after Kasai stabbed a bunch of chopsticks into Moxley’s head.

It was a violent match from start to finish and Moxley and Homicide’s team ended up losing. Like many, Cornette is of the opinion that this level of violence wasn’t needed. Apart from verbally slamming the 37-year-old, Cornette also recently engaged in some Twitter banter with Matt Hardy.

Jim Cornette calls Matt Hardy a “concussed ex-great”
A few days back, Matt Hardy mentioned Jim Cornette in his tweet where he called the 61-year-old “toxic”. The former WWE official gave his reply on the same platform.
Cornette thanked his co-host Brian Last while calling Hardy a “concussed ex-great”. Moreover, he addressed how the AEW star was “protesting too much about how successful he is”.
