Levesque said that he felt that the time was right for everyone to move on. He added that Edge had an amazing career at the Stanford-based promotion. According to him, Copeland has given everything that he had to offer to the promotion. Triple H also talked about the goodwill which is present at WWE. He said “ I think he said it the other day, there’s no animosity here, there are no hard feelings. He’s doing what’s right for him and his family and I’m happy for him. Very, very happy for him.” implying that he is happy for his former colleague.

Further, he added, “I sent him that in a message. ‘I’m happy for you’ and I’m proud of him. This has to be right for you, this is a grind, it’s a lot of hard work. Gotta be right for you.” stating he wished nothing but the best for his old friend. He also said that his departure has created a spot in the promotion and a lot of talented stars are out there who want to take that position. But it won’t be easy as there is a long line of more talented people who could do justice to the role in the same way he did.
