Charlotte Flair went on a WWE hiatus after she suffered a severe injury to her knee during a match at a WWE show. The promotion then updated everyone that the former Women’s Champion wouldn’t be appearing in the promotion till the latter half of the year 2024. And now, fans may have to face another upsetting update from one of the promising talents on the NXT roster.

NXT star joins Charlotte Flair’s WWE hiatus

Cora Jade, a growing wrestler on the black and gold brand, was recently hurt, reportedly during a botched pinfall attempt by NXT Women’s Champion Lyra Valkyria. After a few days, reports finally tell us that the injury is actually a torn ACL which may take weeks or months to heal. The same was revealed by Dave Meltzer of WON via a recent tweet.

Meltzer had previously updated fans regarding the injury. Now that he came across the details, he briefly mentioned on the social media platform, “The Cora Jade knee injury from the weekend house show we talked about on the show last night is an ACL tear.

Cora Jade had suffered an injury last year around the same time which was undisclosed for the most part. However, the wrestler reappeared on NXT TV only a few months later in April. And then, she left again in August because of her frustrating loss in a match only to come back in December 2023.

Now, the growing talent has joined many names who are currently on a break from the Stamford-based company.

A few days ago, Austin Theory faced Carmello Hayes in a match. The latter believed that this feud would be his ticket to appear in the Royal Rumble match in 2024. Unfortunately, both the wrestlers ended up getting face contusions. However, the good news is they are fine and have a chance of appearing at the first PLE of 2024.

Giovanni Vinci is also out of the picture due to an injury that he received when Kofi Kingston kicked him in the jaw during the Day 1 Monday Night Raw episode. So, we shouldn’t expect the wrestler returning too soon. But since the update is hazy about his health, we may still see the Imperium member at Rumble.

Another NXT wrestler that is taking a wrestling hiatus is Wes Lee. On the 5th of January this year, Lee announced that he would be taking a break due to a severe back injury and will be back as soon as he is clear to perform again.
