Investors drop lawsuit after Vince McMahon agrees repayment

WWE shareholders who filed a consolidated lawsuit against Vince McMahon over his unexpected return to the governing body dropped it on May 3. According to Bloomberg Law, the investors’ claims became moot when the 77-year-old agreed to repayment of $17.4 million in late March.

WWE paid the aforementioned amount during the investigation of McMahon, which scrutinized his role in alleged sexual harassment and hush money claims. Meanwhile, McMahon’s repayment does not cover the $20 million he allegedly paid in 2007.
