An Injured Sasha Banks Received Help From 45-Year-Old Forgotten WWE Star Before Getting Admitted Into the Hospital

Mercedes Mone fka Sasha Banks has been a constant topic of discussion since her WWE walkout along with tag teammate Naomi last year. Things have changed a lot since then. After some initial drawbacks, the former WWE star bounced back, joining her dream promotion at NPJW. She beat Kairi to win the IWGP Women’s Championship at her debut match. However, Mone failed to retain the belt for more than 64 days as she lost to Mayu Iwatani at Stardom All-Star Grand Queendom in April.

Now, the 31-year-old faced another fresh setback in the form of a serious injury after performing in Sunday’s AEW resurgence event. The injury took place when she jumped from the rope and seemed to have issues with her legs. The match continued for another 60 seconds when her rival Willow Nightingale secured the win, by landing two power bombs back to back.

Tamina helped Mercedes Mone throughout after falling victim to an injury

Mone or previously known as Sasha Banks had to leave the stage with the help of some NPJW staff following the mishap. However, another one was there to help the injured star out. She was none other than the WWE star Tamina Snuka.

Sean Sapp of Frightful noted on Twitter that Tamina was backstage and even accompanied Mone to the hospital after her injury.

He further mentioned that it’s not only Mone that received the 45-year-olds help in the past. In fact, she has been an angel to a handful of stars on the roster, including Chelsea Green.

However, speaking of the NPJW star’s current injury, fans were left distressed until they got to know that the star herself is in good spirits, regardless.

Mone shared a tweet asking her fans not to worry as she promised to come back stronger.

Fans shifted their focus to the beautiful side of the incident and that’s Tamina’s incredible act of kindness to her old peer.

Fans showered love on Tamina for her exemplary act of generosity

Tamina has been with the Stamford-based company since 2010 and had various alliances like The Usos, Nia Jax, Natalya, etc. She won her first major championship in the form of a women’s tag team title when she, along with Natalya, defeated Jax and Shayna Baszler.

But apart from her wrestling feat, the female star is widely known for the maternal connection she brings to every wrestler in the locker room. Fans love her for the generosity she possesses in her heart, going beyond the usual competition and rivalry.

They recognized her effort last night, too, and flooded the comment threads with massive appreciation.

A few of them acknowledged that she is the one who is everybody’s favorite.

Some gave a special shout-out to Tamina’s motherly care.

Fans are in complete awe of her queen-like grace and compassion, despite being a force to be reckoned with inside the ring.

Tamina has not been active in wrestling for quite some time now. Referring to her absence, some fans think she didn’t get her deserved place in the company while others hope to see her back on WWE TV sooner or later.

Coming back to Mercedes Mone, we need to see when she will come back after healing from the current injury and how she will resume her fiery run again.
