Currently, WWE fans are living in the era of the Tribal Chief supremacy. You might acknowledge the Big Dog in the yard or not, but you can’t really deny his stalwart presence all over the WWE map. With a commendable aura, Roman Reigns, the historic Undefeated Universal Champion, rose to the ranks of being one of those very few prized products who can challenge their haters to change their minds as well. Along the same line, Hall of Famer Road Dogg couldn’t stand Reigns’ over-the-top antics. But his recent stint pushed the veteran to think differently.

One of the consistent comparisons that emerges is the comparison Roman Reigns and legendary Dwayne Johnson. Both carrying the blood of the esteemed Anoia family have scored a herculean success in their boots. They both dipped their feet in Holywood as well, although Reigns is still in his rookie stage compared to The Rock. But WWE’s current poster boy can change that narrative too, at least former WWE insider Road Dogg believes so.

Road Dogg carved out an important quality in Roman Reigns that makes him outshine The Rock

While The Rock received criticism for being a fighter with a short -run in the company, haters term Roman Reigns as the laziest champion for his part-time schedule. But keeping aside those brickbats, both of the wrestling moguls cemented their legacy. The only thing that can really make them apart is the fact that The Rock stopped expanding his in-ring legacy a long time back and Reigns keeps on adding more prestige to it.

Coming back to The Rock, his smoldering gestures and on-point communication as part of a marquee storyteller will always be an asset to the future superstars. But Hall of Famer Road Dogg thinks Reigns does it better. Despite not liking Reigns in the past, the 54-year-old is now fully convinced that he’s incredible.

Justifying his stance, Dogg noted, ”I’m not dogging — and Rock’s a great actor. One of my favorite movies is ‘Central Intelligence.”

Comparing DJ to Reigns, he continued, ”During this, what a character he [Reigns] has been, and I just like his family member before him, kind of carrying the company, you know what I mean?” (H/T: wrestling inc.)

Dogg’s token of applause certainly implies Reigns’ supremacy over storytelling can make him a bigger Holywood star than the $800 million Dwayne Johnson someday.

But did you ever wonder what Reigns’ primary strategy behind the smooth storytelling is? If yes, then the champion himself got you the answer.

Roman Reigns keeps faith in Triple H’s ideology of long-term storytelling

Great storytelling was an extinct feature in the WWE scenario some years ago with increasing stress on quick playoffs. However, current Chief Content Officer Triple H’s positive approach toward it made things better now. The top of the table also sticks to the same belief that there’s no need to be in a hurry to sell a good storyline.

The Bloodline leader once admitted that he likes to focus on long-time storytelling, creating enough place for the script to flip seamlessly.

Reigns not only preached his approach but also executed it pretty well with a mastery over crowd psychology. His iconic bloodline saga over the last two years carries a testament to it.

However, time will only say if Reigns can channel his storytelling skill in Holywood as well or not.
