WWE Coach Sara Amato reflected on the insecurities of Charlotte Flair
In the documentary series, a brief part was dedicated to the struggles after she entered WWE. And to put it with clarity, there couldn’t be a better person than someone who trained her. Sara Amato explained how the 36-year-old struggled to do promos in the early phase of her career.
She said, “The athletic part of it like she and she thrived. Charlotte probably struggled most with promos and you know, just her insecurities about herself came through.”

This revelation sheds light on the personal fight that Flair went through that no one could see or understand. As an audience, we could only see the strong wrestler she was, but not the vulnerable personality that troubled her in completing certain tasks. During that phase, it was like she became her own enemy.
Flair said, “I stuck out like a sore thumb.[..] But I do remember, I was like, whatever you do, you’ll be fine athletically.” And to support in during that phase of her, there were several WWE legends.
The Queen shared how Dusty Rhodes comforted her
The Dirtiest Player of the Game then also talked about how once The American Dream reassured her that everything will be fine. Flair added, “And I did really well in this drill with guys and girls and Dusty pulled me aside, and was like, ‘you’re gonna be okay’.”

The wrestlers always carry a bag full of expectations from their fans and thus they also need some comfort from others. Here, Dusty Rhodes played his part in the in-ring development of the daughter of one of his greatest rivals and the rest is history.
