Fans recognize several WWE stars for their long matches. These long matches are something that the stars also appreciate at times. Probably because they enjoy the dynamics and the in-ring chemistry, they share with their opponent. Dwayne Johnson has had more than one match with Kurt Angle. Both wrestlers have wrestled for moderately long matches during the span of their careers. However, when they had a fairly short running match once, it was a bit upsetting for Angle.
But when the Hall of Famer truly recollected his time in the ring, he realized how ecstatic he was to share the ring with The Rock. He liked the aura of another WWE legend. So much so that he didn’t even care about losing the match at his hands.

What could have changed about Angle’s match with Dwayne Johnson?
In the podcast, the speaker sitting with Angle sheds light on one of his matches with Johnson that ended way quicker than usual. The match took place on RAW on 01/31/2000. Angle lost the match within five minutes. It could have been humiliating for the wrestler since most of the audience was from Angle’s hometown, but that thought didn’t concern him.
Rather, he was upset because he “didn’t think [the match] was long enough”. This disappointed him because being inside the ring with The Rock made Angle happy.
“Anytime I was in the ring with the rock. I was ecstatic. I was happy. Overjoyed. I knew I was in there with One of the greatest of all time, one of the most popular superstars of all time,” added Kurt Angle about Dwayne Johnson. They have clashed inside the ring on more than one occasion, but it seems Angle would be down for one more match with him if given the chance.

WWE’s future plans for The Rock
The Rock was last seen in a wrestling match against John Cena in 2013. Since then, the fans have caught him on screen, but he has mostly been busy with his movie schedule. The Hollywood star would probably still be caught up in his schedule, but his mother’s wish might change things.
Ata Johnson reportedly wishes to see her son back in the ring. In a recent interview, Johnson revealed that his mother misses the time he used to wrestle. Given the fact of how much Johnson cares for his family, this could be good news for his WWE fans.
