It was also proposed that Hardy should turn heel on his brother who was the WWE Champion, at WrestleMania, making things more interesting. However, due to some people, it was cut short. They weren’t in favor of Jeff Hardy having a long title reign.

He said, “I don’t know, Vince was open to it. I do know that but there were probably a certain percentage of the writers and just of creative that were really good on Jeff because he had so much momentum.”
“Things were hot and it was good and there were some people that probably like were worried about Jeff having too long of a run and maybe something going wrong,”
Despite Vince McMahon’s openness to the idea, he had to cancel the special WrestleMania moment of Jeff Hardy where he would have held his WWE Championship title. The title reign ended for Jeffy at the 2009 Royal Rumble after his brother turned on him.
He said, “They ended up going with the rumble instead and that was probably a little bit of Demand with three H’s, he was probably pushing for that hard it let go back.”
