Recently, popular comedian and actor Paul Reubens aka Pee-wee Herman took his last breath at the age of 70. Reubens was a recurring guest in WWE events and even shared WWE screen time with WWE veterans like Dwayne Johnson, The Miz, Big Show, and “Mean” Gene Okerlund.

When the news of his demise broke, many people came together to say their last goodbyes to the veteran comedian. While the world was mourning the loss of a true gem, a disrespectful fan threw dirt on the deceased comedian. This caught WWE legend Lita‘s attention, and she made sure to put the flippant person in his place.

Lita stands up to defend Paul Reubens’ honor

WWE recently shared a post to honor the memories of the late star. The post contained slides featuring Reuben’s appearance in WWE. In the comments section, a fan made disparaging comments about Reubens’ past controversies and allegations.

The fan wrote, “Always loved him. His theater incident was a little bit. Shameful somewhat lol but he also had a variety of allegations and I believe charges regarding child. You know what on his computer. Just hearing about that today on the news as a recap of his life, which definitely is totally effed up.”

This comment made the WWE Hall of Famer irate, and she slammed the fan with a strong reply. She wrote, “@mjpcomics maybe don’t talk about what you clearly don’t know about and let those honor and pay tribute who know what his contributions did give to so many.”

Reubens not only spread laughter on his TV show, but he also tickled the funny bone of thousands of WWE fans during his visits to the WWE events.

The times when Reubens made the WWE Universe laugh

Reuben’s first WWE appearance was in 2010. During the Nov. 1 edition of Monday Night Raw of the same year, he shared an in-ring segment with The Miz and Big Show. He had hilarious interactions with the two pro wrestling stars that later earned him a Slammy Award for ‘Guest Star Shining Moment of the Year.’

The next time, the WWE Universe saw him in the Stamford-based promotion was at WrestleMania XXVII. During the event, he shared a backstage segment with ‘The Rock’ and “Mean” Gene Okerlund. He confronted Johnson as John Cena‘s No. 1 fan but later sided with Johnson instead.

Reubens had cancer for the past six years, which he never disclosed to the public and only revealed about it to the world in his last words. He passed away on July 30, 2023, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
