‘Everything You See on TV…’: Brock Lesnar’s Ex-Roommate Makes a Scary Admission About The Beast Incarnate

There’s no denying that Brock Lesnar is a scary individual. His formidable presence instills a sense of fear in his opponents. Although Lesnar doesn’t seem very friendly on the surface, his close friends will tell you that he is one of the nicest people. 

With that being said, only those who have earned Brock Lesnar’s favor truly understand the genuinely good person he is in real life. WWE star Shelton Benjamin happens to be one of the few stars who shares a close relationship with Lesnar. He recently revealed how Lesnar wears his heart on his sleeves. As good as Lesnar is around people he likes, he is the opposite around those he doesn’t, per Benjamin. 

Shelton Benjamin reveals Brock Lesnar’s true nature

Shelton Benjamin and Brock Lesnar have known each other for decades. The duo first met when Lesnar was in Junior College. Lesnar, who won wrestling tournaments as a college kid, forged a friendship with The Gold Standard. The duo has also shared the ring in WWE a couple of times. 

While speaking on a recent edition of Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Shelton Benjamin revealed a surprising fact about Brock Lesnar’s true nature. According to Benjamin, the former WWE Champion is a fun and cool person to be around, however, that is only if he likes you. 

He said, “If Brock is your friend, he will give you the shirt off his back, nicest guy in the world, fun and cool to hang around with. That might surprise people how actually cool Brock can be, if he likes you. But if he doesn’t like you, he’s just what you are seeing on TV that’s not an act, you’re not seeing a different version of Brock.”

Benjamin’s observation that Lesnar’s behavior on TV and in person, especially around people he dislikes, highlights the authenticity of the Beast’s candid expression of his opinions. Fans are no strangers to seeing a morose Lesnar on TV. And so, based on what Benjamin said, that could very well be Lesnar around people he doesn’t like. 

Nonetheless, Lesnar is very selective about the people he likes to call friends. Recently, Cody Rhodes surprisingly earned Brock Lesnar’s respect.

Brock Lesnar capped off his feud with Rhodes by conceding defeat to The American Nightmare. Rhodes may be one of the few people that Lesnar likes, as the latter was seen extending his hand to Rhodes out of respect in an unplanned spot after their match at SummerSlam.

By the looks of it, Lesnar did not hide the fact that he was impressed by the tenacity of Rhodes. As Shelton Benjamin revealed, if Lesnar likes you, you will know. And so, The Beast did not shy away from letting Rhodes know that he has earned his respect. Off-topic, you will be intrigued to know the real reason why Lesnar decided to put over Cody Rhodes. 

Anyway, Lesnar has temporarily stepped away from the ring. He is reportedly going to make his return at Fastlane. The event is slated to take place in October. We will have to wait and see what lies ahead for The Beast Incarnate.
