Famous WWE Interviewer Spills the Beans on Dwayne Johnson’s Unplanned SmackDown Return

32-year-old American sportscaster and WWE star Kayla Braxton recently revealed more info Dwayne Johnson‘s unannounced return to SmackDown in an interview. 

Braxton, who has been with WWE since 2016, is now an important member of the Friday Night SmackDown broadcasting crew. Everyone in the audience was taken aback when The Rock returned and she revealed the scoop on some behind-the-scenes information.

Braxton shocked to see Dwayne Johnson at Smackdown

On Insight With Chris Van Vliet, WWE’s Braxton spoke about Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s unexpected return to SmackDown. Braxton revealed in the interview that she learned about The Rock’s surprise arrival only thirty minutes prior. She did speculate that The Rock’s friendship with Pat McAfee, known for his charisma, likely added to the spontaneity of the moment. 

She said, “Like 30 minutes prior, but maybe because he was with Pat McAfee that day on College GameDay. I don’t even think this was planned; I think Pat McAfee has this way of making everybody want to be his best friend.” Braxton gushed at McAfee’s ability to include The Rock on SmackDown, calling it a “Pat McAfee thing.” 

The crew, including Braxton, were shocked by the unexpected arrival. She later added, “…it was a surprise for all of us. Wow, like, I freaked, and that was the second time I’ve ever met him.” Their first meeting occurred during the 2011 Fox premiere of WWE.
