Last year, after a series of hush money and misconduct allegations, Vince McMahon was compelled to retire, before making his return to the company earlier this year in January as the executive chairman. Soon after his return was announced, fans started dreading his involvement.

While fans were unhappy about his return, one former WWE superstar was extremely delighted about it. WWE’s forgotten icon, The Boogeyman recently took to his social media to show gratitude toward Vince McMahon.

He would take to Twitter to announce, how Vince McMahon believed in him when no one else did. The Boogeyman wrote, “A huge thank you to the one person that believed in me when no one else did.”

The Boogeyman was a scary on-screen character during his time on the roster, and he would terrorize the living wits out of the other superstars. He is most vividly known for his iconic rivalry with Booker-T. Vince McMahon picked Boogeyman and book him as one of the scariest superstars thus giving rise to his character, and making him one of the most popular names on the roster.

For the past few years, The Boogeyman was extremely well hidden in the shadows, and was nowhere to be seen in the limelight, until recently when he emerged back to show his gratitude.

Despite the fan’s fears, Vince McMahon might no longer have the creative power

Triple H took over the creative department of WWE last year, it was all Vince McMahon. McMahon provided the fans with some of the greatest moments and storylines. He is also infamous for doing justice with many talents and storylines.

Post WrestleMania 39, reports emerged of WWE’s merger with Endeavor and UFC, and turning it into a solo $21-billion company.

However, this meant, while McMahon was still the executive chairman of the company, he no longer has major voting rights. Vince McMahon will be having 18% voting rights, while his daughter will have 1.2%, and Linda McMahon a mere 0.4%. The majority rights of 51% will be shared among the Endeavor shareholders.

This news came as a relief for the fans, and they are expecting to see what unfolds next in the company.
