One of the biggest surprises we got at WrestleMania 38 was seeing Steve Austin wrestling again after such a long time. The star of the Attitude Era had never given hints about a return to WWE. But when he stepped in the ring, everyone was excited to see the Texas Rattlesnake back in action, given his impressive physique, despite being past his peak.

As he has mentioned previously, he still has a long way to go. But this 68-year-old WWE Hall of Famer humbled him when both of them were working out together.

Steve Austin comments about 68-year-old Mr. USA working out with him

On Ric Flair’s podcast, To Be The Man, the Nature Boy had ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin on his show. They talked a lot about working with each other, WWE’s backstage, and many more breadcrumbs for fans. But when talking about being in shape at their ages, Austin let out a great tidbit about WWE Hall of Famer, Tony Atlas.

He said, “I’ve been to the gym, working out like a son of a bi***. For a while, Tony Atlas trained with me. We would go to the gym the next day, and sure enough, there was Tony. 315 on the bar to start with, and jump right to 405. I’m like I’m over here struggling with 200 and a quarter. I mean, it’s ridiculous. But Tony was always just a naturally strong guy.

Even though Austin mentioned that he struggled with it, there’s no question that his physique has improved a lot. His physique was so good, that many fans thought he might be making an appearance in WrestleMania 39, despite denying the rumors.

In the interview, Austin also mentioned that Atlas can surely drink beer, which not many people know. But he made sure to mention that even Mr. USA can’t out-drink him. Still, Atlas working out strongly at the age of 68 is impressive.
