

The Undertaker is known to share his honest opinions on other athletes. Although Mark Calaway has played a vicious personality inside the ring, seeing him praise his co-workers and other athletes really stands out. Recently, Taker took it to his personal interest to notice and shed light on one of his former opponents.
He also talked about a match that he wasn’t too proud of at WrestleMania. During a stellar run that saw him win 25 out of 27 matches at WrestleMania, there was this one match that left him disappointed.

The Undertaker was ‘disappointed’ in himself
Being the veteran and the epitome of perfection in WWE for years, Calaway doesn’t go easy himself as well. In order to grow, he had to be a critic of himself and keep on finding room for improvement.
The Undertaker faced Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33. The match was highly anticipated by all fans and was the main event of the night. However, the match didn’t live up to the hype and was largely criticized. Taker too was disappointed because how he couldn’t give his best in the match due to his physical condition.

“I always wish I could’ve done better for him at that moment. It was a physical issue, and I was getting what I could out of my body at the time,” commented The Phenom on his condition during his match with Reigns.

The Undertaker is proud of one thing
Although he seems to be utterly disappointed in his performance that night, Taker is proud that he contributed to one of the future stars’ character build. Reigns was booed for 10 straight minutes on Raw following his WrestleMania win over The Undertaker. However, seeing how far he has come, all that Calaway can think of is his progress.

“It’s good that he’s been able to go from 10 minutes of straight boos to being world champion for over 800 days now,” added the former WWE champion. He is proud that Reigns got all that hold on his character that even Hall of Famers consider him a ‘dream opponent’ of theirs.

Following their WrestleMania bout, Calaway went straight to New York to get his hip fixed and returned to the event next year and eventually put things right with his WrestleMania before bidding goodbye to a legendary career in WWE.
