When WWE and AEW got schooled
Pro wrestling expert, analyst, booker, and commentator Jim Cornette spoke about both AEW and WWE on his YouTube podcast. Uploading a video titled, “Jim Cornette Reviews The Rock & The Bloodline’s Promo on WWE Smackdown.” The expert didn’t pull any punches as he highlighted the good promo work of Dwayne Johnson. But also took several shots at both pro wrestling outfits.
According to him, “On the other network (TBS), on the other low-class wrestling program (AEW), they don’t bleep the fans half the time when they’re saying, ‘you f***ed up, you f***ed up.’ So I know it’s a personal network preference and I’m broadcasting cable, but you know, goddamn it was so distracting.” Here, while TBS was praised, Cornette took a dig at AEW. But, he didn’t spare WWE either.

Cornette noted, “Wasn’t the WWE doing it in the truck because the Rock had no idea that some of his lines weren’t getting over? But uh they weren’t going across the broadcast I should say but anyway, the network was not happy with some of this.” Here, WWE was targeted for its crowd control failure.

When the cameras captured an epic moment perfectly of Dwayne Johnson
Jim Cornette noted that while WWE may not have received the audio aspect of things right, its camera personnel did a really great job. He noted how the angles captured by the camera showcased the exact tension in the body language of Roman Reigns when he wasn’t acknowledged.
