Ever since his return to the WWE in April last year, the American Nightmare has enjoyed a golden run, sans the hiccup of a torn pectoral muscle. It has been smooth sailing for Dusty Rhodes’ younger son following his win at this year’s Royal Rumble.
Entering at number 30, Cody managed to get the better of Gunther’s record-breaking stay inside the squared circle, thus securing his appointment with the Tribal Chief. Since then, he has been a part of some memorable promos, vowing to strip the current Universal Champion of his title.
However, in a recent tweet, the 37-year-old has admitted to feeling “alone“. “In many respects, I’m alone out there, but also I’m not…carry it with you, all of it #WrestleMania @WWE @SoFiStadium,” the tweet read.

Meanwhile, a top pro wrestler, from the rival AEW promotion, has extended his support while responding to the tweet.
Goldust’s familial help is laced with hints of his future plans
53-year-old Dustin Rhodes, erstwhile Goldust in WWE, was one of the responders to Cody Rhodes’ tweet. Dustin, Cody’s half-brother, urged him to finish the story while telling his sibling he wasn’t alone.
“You are not alone brother. You may have to fight alone, but you will never be alone. #FinishTheStory,” he tweeted. While the tweet itself is pretty straightforward, a close look at it may give a sniff about Dustin’s future plans, one involving the WWE.

For the unversed, Dustin Rhodes has had an on-off relationship with the Stamford-based company. He has entered and left it five times, since his debut in 1990. While he is currently associated with and is a top star in All Elite Wrestling, where he performs under the name Dustin Rhodes, one has to be aware of the bond Rhodes’ share with the WWE.
Meanwhile, several fans reacted to his post.

Commenting underneath his post, one fan urged AEW owner Tony Khan to allow Dustin the privilege to be privy to Cody’s success. “Hey @TonyKhan let Dustin go to WrestleMania please to celebrate when Cody beats Roman Reigns,” the tweet read.

Another lauded the senior Rhodes for his gesture. “That is sweet. Having your brother’s back. I tell my brother the same thing. I may not be there but I am always here for you,” the user tweeted.

Fans were also not shy about suggestions either as a faithful proposed Dustin Rhodes to appear for Cody Rhodes’ mega clash at WrestleMania.
Man, if there was only some way Triple H and Tony Khan could make some sort of deal to have you appear with him(if you wanted to), that would be the ultimate moment.

If that happens, it won’t be the first time the brothers would appear on the same stage as Roman Reigns.
Young Cody, Goldust and Stardust
Before parting ways with Vince McMahon’s company in 2019, Goldust had a somewhat successful stint alongside his half-brother as the Goldust-Stardust pair. The brothers also won the WWE Tag Team title once with the aforementioned gimmicks. However, they also won the gold as Cody Rhodes and Goldust in October 2013.

Their first win as a pair came in a no-disqualification match on RAW against Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, who were part of The Shield. The brothers received help from Big Show to win the gold. Almost a year later, on 21 September 2014, they won against The Usos at the Night of Champions event as Goldust and Stardust.
Fast forward to 2023, Cody Rhodes’ promos have proven his caliber as an able communicator, swaying the crowd in his favor on multiple occasions, all without the face paint and glitter that Stardust was associated with.

He has witnessed a new personal never seen before elevation, that is akin to his late father and pro-wrestling legend Dusty Rhodes’ run. If Goldust makes the jump back for the sixth time, it will be interesting to see how the relationship between the half-brothers pans out, especially with Cody Rhodes likely to dethrone the Tribal Chief.
