Trish Stratus Fangirls Over Female Rapper Cardi B, Calls Her “Cool” for Knowing So Much About the Sport of Wrestling

Two celebrities being fans of each other is a wholesome coincidence that most fans love to witness. So it’s even more of a treat for wrestling fans, when it comes out that rapper Cardi B has professed to being a wrestling fan herself, particularly for Trish Stratus. Thanks to the distinct nature of their fields, the two female superstars expressing their admiration for each other is not something you’d see every day.

The rapper claimed to be a wrestling fan and has previously confessed that she grew up admiring Stratus on television. On the other hand, the female wrestler now listens to Cardi B’s rap songs and admires her for her boldness and for being a ‘strong woman’. Stratus even went so far as to tease a potential future collab with the rapper.

When is Trish Stratus teaming up with Cardi B?

Stratus is known for rolling into the arena with ‘Time to Rock and Roll’ as her theme song. While the song features rapper Lil’ Kim as the lead vocalist, Stratus has been open to the idea of changing it up. Now, ever since both Cardi B and Trish Stratus acknowledged one another on Twitter, the latter has been meaning to collaborate with the rapper.

While talking to Vibe in a recent interview, the WWE Hall of Famer said, “We’ve talked about that. I made a joke saying, as a heel, I talk about how Lil’ Kim’s going to present [my song] live, but then I’d bring out Cardi B to present it.” The wrestler further confessed, “So now, then, I start some heat in the whole Hip-Hop world. Cardi B is cool. It’s cool to see how much she knows [wrestling]. She’s [a real] fan.”

This is also not the first time that the two personalities have talked about each other. In fact, Stratus’ return to WWE this year shocked the rapper so badly that she had to take her excitement to X (formerly Twitter).

The rapper’s enthusiasm for WWE has never been contested. She had long ago announced how much of a fangirl she was for pro wrestling and WWE in particular. When in February this year, Stratus joined her ‘bestie’ Lita to fend off Damage CTRL, the 30-year-old went out of control. She immediately took to Twitter to show her excitement.

The NYC-born tweeted, “Lita & Trish?? What’s going on ???!!!!” The number of exclamations in her tweet showed how serious this surprise entry was for her. Later this year, the heel’s story has grown further ever since she turned on Becky Lynch. However, Cardi B has yet to react to these advancements in her storyline.
