Chaos Ensues as Samoa Joe Calls Out Potential Challengers for His WWE NXT Championship

NXT Champion Samoa Joe showed up on tonight’s episode of WWE NXT after his emphatic victory against Karrion Kross at NXT Takeover 36. Joe defeated Kross in an intense match to win the NXT Championship for the third time in his career. Samoa Joe also turned to make a record of most NXT title wins by a superstar. Joe came out to issue an open challenge to the roster as he felt the only way to celebrate was to fight and out came some surprising names.

Samoa Joe came out to the ring as fans gave him a wild pop. Joe started by talking about how he beat a dominant Karrion Kross to become the first-ever three-time NXT Champion of the brand. The Samoan Submission Machine then revealed that he didn’t show up to celebrate his victory and then asked who in the roster wants to step forward and face him. Pete Dunne was the first one to show up as he stood in the ring and faced Joe. Pete then called out NXT Manager William Regal to make the match a reality. But LA Knight, who was also looking for a shot at the title, interrupted Dunne.

Knight cuts a promo by adding that he wants to be Joe’s first and last challenger in his new reign. Pete, who wasn’t happy about Knight’s interruption, threatened to beat him up if he ends up taking one more step into the ring. Things got heated between the duo, but it was cut short as Kyle O’Reilly showed up. The man who beat Adam Cole at NXT Takeover 36 was gloating over that win and added that he had earned a title shot by beating Cole.

Things got ugly when Ridge Holland showed up and blindsided O’Reilly with a punch. Tommaso Ciampa came into the frame out of nowhere as he rushed to attack Pete, who was facing Joe. After attacking Kyle, Holland ran into the ring to attack Tommaso. Knight, who was watching this, attempted a sneak attack on Joe but ended up getting hit by a headbutt from the champ. Joe stood tall after all the mayhem that happened in the arena as Holland, Dunne, and the rest of them looked at Joe, who raised his NXT title in the air to remind everyone that he is the king in a land of savages.

The NXT title picture looks invigorating after this segment of tonight’s edition of NXT. The potential of all those five superstars who came out to address the champ is just exceptional. Fans would have a great time watching any of them face The Samoan Submission Machine.
