West Indian batsman Chris Gayle will be playing his final ICC Cricket World Cup. However, the good news for his fans, is that this will not be the last we see of the swash-buckling batsman.
Back in February, the 39-year-old stated that he would hang up his boots after the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. However, he did a volte farce ahead of West Indies’ clash with India.

I may play a Test match against India and then I will definitely play the ODIs against India. I won’t play the T20s. That’s my plan after the World Cup,”.
West Indies media manager Philip Spooner backed up the comments saying that when the Windies face India in their upcoming series, Chris Gayle will be hoping for a swansong in national colours.
Speaking to PTI, Spooner said, “Yes, Chris will play his last series against India,”.
Speaking of India’s tour of West Indies, the Windies will be subject to 3 T20Is, 3 ODIs and a couple of Test matches. These matches will be lined up in early August, starting with the T20Is from August 3, ODIs from August 8 and Tests matches from August 22 to September 3.
