Coco Gauff and Caty McNally Pull off Their First Title at Citi Open 2019

The 15-year-old kid Cori Coco Gauff must have lost her opening round match at Citi Open 2019 to Zarina Diyas, but she doesn’t go back home empty-handed. The phenom, Coco in tandem with the 17-year-old American, Caty McNally has lifted up the doubles title in Washington DC. The American girls, Coco Gauff and Caty McNally defeated Fanny Stollar and Maria Sanchez 6-2, 6-2.

They to pull off their first professional title together in the American capital and it was their first professional tournament as a duo. They came up with flourishing results in presence of their home crowd. A packed stadium enjoyed the quick match which the American ladies had put up and with Coco’s team dominating the encounter in the first set multiplied the joy of the audience.

In the singles sector, McNally usurped the Taiwanese, Hsieh Su-Wei, 6-4, 6-3, in the quarterfinals, but lost her semifinal match to Camila Giorgi. Before their final match, Coco Gauff and McNally eliminated the third-seeded pair of the tournament in the semifinals.
