

In an interesting revelation, Conor McGregor showed his support to USA President Donald Trump. McGregor tweeted on Martin Luther King Jr day, congratulating US President Donald Trump.
Donald Trump tweeted on Jan. 21, commemorating late Martin Luther King Jr. and appreciating the improved African-American unemployment rate in the country. Trump also brought attention to another historical milestone on the same date and celebrated his third year in the office.
Conor McGregor recently made a return to the octagon, where he knocked out Donald Cerrone within 40 seconds into the first round. McGregor wrote his name in history books when he knocked out Cerrone. In the process, he became the first UFC fighter to get a KO victory in the featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight division. McGregor joined the likes of Jared Cannonier and Vitor Belfort to register KO wins across three different divisions. While McGregor continues to stay in the news after an impressive performance against Donald Cerrone, here’s another reason why he might stay in the media.

McGregor showed public support towards often criticized and recently impeached, US President Donald Trump. Trump became the third president in the history of the USA to be impeached. McGregor sent out his reply via twitter with a reply to Trump’s tweet.
“Phenomenal President. Quite possibly the USA,” McGregor wrote. “Most certainly one of them anyway, as he sits atop the shoulders of many amazing giants that came before him.”

While it may not be a surprise for everyone, MMA veteran Ben Askren was certainly in for a surprise. Ben Askren tweeted following McGregor’s tweet and called his support towards Donald Trump, a “plot-twist.”

Recently, Donald Trump attended UFC 244 fight between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz in October at Madison Square Garden. Masvidal and Trump shared words with each other. However, the crowd booed the current president when he entered the arena.
Another UFC fighter who has shown public support towards the sitting president is Colby Covington. It’s a revelation nonetheless that McGregor has called Donald Trump as one of the greatest US president.
