Talking to Ariel about his next opponent, Conor first made an assessment of his first fight with Khabib and said:

“In the return fight, I want my world title back, I want that redemption, the camp was not correct. I let so much on that. Knowing the commitment, I had in that camp, knowing the performance I put on. He(Khabib) ran away for that fourth round, he didn’t throw a punch, he shot for the legs before he threw a punch. There was no whisper out of him until he ended in that dominant position. The only reason he ended up in that dominant position was that I walked around with disrespect towards him cause he was running around the cage. I switched off for millisecond and he got that lucky shot although it was a beautiful shot. Even after he got the shot, i bounced back and then shoot again.”

Then Conor said he would fight whoever is ahead of me:

“I am not gonna wait around. If you are asking me who it’s whoever. If Dustin goes in and does it, it’s Dustin, If Nate then it’s Nate, Jorge. I would fight anyone. Tony Ferguson, Justin Gathje, Hollaway rematch, Aldo rematch. there are so many bouts for me. And it doesn’t matter who. It’s all about me getting back in and being who I am.”

Conor also confirmed that he is going to fight at the end of this year:

“I would say we can get that done. I  am already in shape and I will start grappling soon. I would look for the end of the year to return.”

Conor McGregor indeed has a lot of options when it comes to his next fight. Any fight with Conor’s name in it is a huge fight itself. However, his rematch with Khabib and the trilogy fight with Nate Diaz is right on the top of the list. It seems Diaz might fight Masvidal next. So what happens with Khabib Vs Dustin would decide where does Conor goes next.
