The outbreak of Coronavirus is affecting everyone’s lives. Not only is it impacting events and tournaments but also personal lives. For example, a number of Australian cricketers such as Adam Zampa and Pat Cummins have had to postpone or change their wedding plans due to the virus outbreak.
Australian cricketers such as Adam Zampa have to reschedule their weddings due to Coronavirus
Overall, there are a total of 8 Australian cricketers who have taken this decision. One of the primary reasons is that the primary protocol by all Governments is to ensure social distancing and no public gatherings.
The players whose wedding plans got affected due to the virus are leg-spinner Adam Zampa, opener D’Arcy Short, pacer Jackson Bird. Additionally, the other players are Mitchell Swepson, Andrew Tye, Katelyn Fryett, Alister McDermott, and Jess Jonassen.
Another Australian cricketer who is having to change his wedding plans is pacer Pat Cummins. He says that there is a positive side to it now that he gets to take an active part in the wedding plans. Even though he recently got engaged and therefore, is hoping to find a date as soon as the pandemic blows over.
“No we’re lucky. Obviously just got engaged, so hopefully most of this would have blown over by the time our wedding comes around.“
Unfortunately, Australian cricketers such as Adam Zampa are having to completely change the dates with other plans. Pat Cummins says that this is an unfortunate incident and he hopes that things go back to normal soon.
“I really feel for a couple of close mates here like Adam Zampa who had to delay their weddings. It’s really tough times. So nothing’s hopefully changed too much from our point of view with that. Obviously bigger things at play.”
The only option is to wait it out
Even though rescheduling wedding plans is an unfortunate event, right now there is no other way out. All the Australian cricketers wish to have their team mates and families attend the wedding. Therefore, the only option is to wait until the pandemic is over and the Australian Government lifts the. Action wide lockdown.
