Harbhajan Singh and Ravi Shastri Urge Citizens to Support PM Modi’s Initiative on April 5

Former Indian players Harbhajan Singh and Ravi Shastri have come forward to support the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative to display the unity of the nation by lightening up the entire country on April 5.

The entire country is undergoing a lockdown for 21 days to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus. In these difficult times, Prime Minister has been trying to unite the nation through different mediums.

This time Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked the citizens to switch off their house lights on April 5 at 9 pm for 9 mins. Also, he urged the citizens to light up lamps, diyas, candles, torch or mobile flashlights in their balconies for 9 mins in their balconies or windows while maintaining the social distancing.

It can be seen as a symbolic message to fight the darkness of deadly COVID-19 with light. The Prime Minister made this request in his third address to the nation during the ongoing outbreak on April 3.

Earlier the entire nation had saluted the coronavirus warriors for 5 mins on the call of the Prime Minister. That was a historic moment for India.
