One of the primary reasons is that Mohit Sharma’s debut for the Indian team was under the former Indian team skipper’s captaincy. Furthermore, before he was selected by Delhi Capitals, he played for Chennai Super Kings under MS Dhoni’s leadership.

Sharma said that Dhoni is a leader in the true sense. For example, when the team wins, MS Dhoni is nowhere around the celebrations. On the other other hand, when the team loses, he is the first one to take responsibility and is standing at the line of fire.
