The NCA is under the radar due to another ankle injury flame-up. The Indian team’s management is yet to reveal the results of the scan. Now, the President of the BCCI, Sourav Ganguly, said that all players will need to undergo rehab only at National Cricket Academy. However, this does not seem to be the case with Ishant Sharma. It looks as though Sharma’s recovery period after a third grade injury was only for three weeks. This is not enough to recover from an injury as such.

Pushing the body too much is not healthy

There is a possibility that the the player took it upon himself to push his limits and return to the field. Therefore, he did not give his ankle enough time to heal. The next point which goes on to show there was something wrong with his rehab is his participation in competitive matches. It is necessary a player takes part in competitive matches before returning to the highest level of any sport. This ensures the body is pushed to conquer its limitations from every aspect.
