James Vince Upset with Citizens for Not Following COVID-19 Lockdown

England batsman James Vince slammed the UK citizens for defying the lockdown rules. 

The earth seems to be falling into pieces with the outbreak of novel coronavirus in the world. Every event and activity has either been suspended or canceled for an indefinite time. More than 12,00,000 people have tested positive for this virus while nearly 66,000 have lost their lives globally. 

As a precaution measure, many countries have announced lockdowns and have imposed travel bans. Also, people are asked to practice self-isolation and social distancing. COVID-19 is a contagious disease and the only way to protect oneself is to maintain distance from the infected once. Till now no antidote has been devised for the same.

James Vince upset with the citizens of UK

When the entire world is in self-isolation, the citizens of the UK are not taking it seriously. The England cricketer James Vince took it to twitter to put some sense in the people regarding the intensity of the situation. 

His post read, “Just seen the pictures of people out and about today as if everything is normal. What selfish people, surely by now they’ve realized this is serious. Well done to everyone who’s doing their bit and staying in.”

The deadly coronavirus is spreading rapidly in the UK. Till now, it has recorded 42,000 positive cases while over 4300 deaths were reported. 

In the wake of the pandemic, the England and Wales cricket board (ECB) has suspended all the cricket tournaments in the country till May 28.

Also, both men and women cricketers came forward to help the nation in these testing times. The England cricketers have volunteered for a pay cut. Along with that, they have also donated 500,000 pounds to fight the COVID-19 virus.
