Kevin Pietersen Lashes Out at China Government for Spread of Coronavirus

Kevin Pietersen, the South African born British former cricketer, slammed the wet animal market of Wuhan for spreading the deadly coronavirus.

The world is facing tough times due to the spread of COVID-19. It is a very challenging situation as the virus continues to spread from one person to another. The virus has affected more than 380,000 people so far with 16,500 losing their lives globally.

The coronavirus was originated in Wuhan, a city in the Hubei province of China and the first case was reported in December 2019. Wuhan is known as the epicenter of the deadly coronavirus.

It is believed that humans caught this virus due to the consumption of bats and bat soup. The exotic animals like monkeys, cats, dogs, bats, and pythons were illegally traded in the wet market of Wuhan. The consumption of such animals is harmful to human health. The coronavirus pandemic is a live example of this.

Many videos went viral on the internet revealing the wrongdoings in the Wuhan market.

Here’s a video of Wuhan market:

Kevin Pietersen upset with China Government

Deeply saddened by the coronavirus crisis, Kevin Pietersen criticized the China government for running the illegal business in the Wuhan market. Also, he held them responsible for the testing times the world is facing right now.

Pietersen is a right-handed batsman and occasional off-spin bowler who played in all three formats for England between 2005 and 2014. He is quite active on twitter and is very straight forward when it comes to expressing his views.

Kevin is an animal lover and activist. Therefore, animal abuse by China government didn’t go well with him.

The former England skipper tweeted back to back three times on March 24 slamming the Chinese for their carelessness and inhumane activities.

His first tweet, “How did the outbreak start? The source of the coronavirus is believed to be a “wet market” in Wuhan which sold both dead and live animals. Sick & twisted!!!!!!”

Kevin then tweeted, “I got sent a video of a market in China where they’re cooking a dog that is alive in boiling water!!!!! WTF!!!!!! And the world is now locked down! F……G bastards”!

Lastly, he urged people to stay at their homes to be safe, “Rant over! Stay safe! Stay indoors! Let’s do this!”.
