Considering he did not play any competitive event since 2019 World Cup, his return to the field is an exciting incident for his fans. Hence, a horde of fans used to gather everyday at the stadium to watch him play. Unfortunately, his practice is cut short due to the Coronavirus threat. In fact, a video of him bidding farewell at Chepauk Stadium is still making rounds of social media.

Now, it seems as though the former Indian skipper is taking to an indoor sport to keep himself fit. A video on a popular social media platform shows MS Dhoni playing badminton. Considering even gyms are shut down at the moment, an indoor sport seems the best way to keep himself fit.

The virus outbreak is affecting every event

The virus outbreak is starting to affect everyone globally. Not only is IPL 2020 at the brink of cancellation, other series have already been cancelled. The India Vs South Africa series did not get to witness even a single match. New Zealand players needed to make a homeward journey following the virus threat. Therefore, the Australia Vs New Zealand series is not proceeding as per plans as well. Finally, the on-going PSL 2020 did not finish as well.

Since the time World Health Organisation declares Coronavirus to be a pandemic, the situation is becoming worse every passing day. Coronavirus has claimed over 6000 lives globally. It seems to keep spreading at an accelerated rate. The only way out of this is by staying indoors and limiting physical contact. This is exactly what Rohit Sharma addresses in a recent video.
