MS Dhoni is returning for IPL 2020 and there are fans who just want to watch “Thala” in action. Now, he has not been on-field since the World Cup semi-finals of 2019. He started his practice for the 13th IPL at Chepauk Stadium.

The last time Dhoni initiated the IPL practice, fans had gathered to watch the legend. This time it is not so different either. Fans are already starting to gather at the stadium to watch him practice.

He showed extreme enthusiasm upon seeing MS Dhoni. The heartwarming between the two players is making rounds on social media with the fans getting filled with admiration for the duo.

Now that Dhoni is going to play IPL 2020, this might be a good chance for him to be selected for the T20 World Cup. He has not played a single competitive event since the 2019 World Cup, therefore, he is not a part of this season’s BCCI contracts either. When the contracts were released, a number of his fans showed how disappointed they were.

On the other hand, Kapil Dev is not truly amused that Dhoni might be selected for the World Cup team without playing competitive matches. He believes that any player on break for this long should at least play a couple of competitive events. Obviously, Kapil Dev is appreciative of the way Dhoni plays, but he also feels that if the selection committee fixates on Dhoni, they might not notice the fresh talent on-field.
