MS Dhoni will commence training for the IPL 2020 from the 2nd of March. The former skipper has been silent about his next career move since India’s defeat at the World Cup 2019. Not only has he been silent, but he was not included in the BCCI contracts as well. However, the news that he will be leading Chennai Super Kings yet again through IPL 2020 is definitive.

MS Dhoni will begin IPL 2020 practice before full squad arrives

One of the primary reasons why Dhoni is beginning his training a month earlier is because of his non-participation in any other national series. Furthermore, he gets more time to prepare for this event and brush up on his skills. For example, his skills behind the stumps are as sharp as it can be. However, his batting power has considerably slowed down. A brilliant performance at the cash-rich league can open up several doors for his national comeback as well.

Ambati Rayuda and Suresh Raina are already through with the first week of their training. Dhoni will begin his training with the two players. Following this he will take a brief break and return on time to train with the entire squad. The other members of the squad include Piyush Chawla, Josh Hazlewood, R Sai Kishore, and Sam Curran.

For the last two years the CSK training camp has been an attraction spot for many fans and tourists. This time since Dhoni is arriving early, a similar number of fans and tourists are expected to turn up.
