England cricket player, Mooen Ali, is current playing at the PSL 2020 for Multan Sultans. The all-rounder expressed how wonderful it is to play in the country where his grandfather and mother were born. On top of that, he hopes that the entire England cricket team will visit Pakistan soon.

Ali’s debut season

The fifth edition of Pakistan Super League is Ali’s debut season. The first match he played for the Multan Sultans was against the Lahore Qalandars in Lahore. This match took place at the Gaddafi Stadium on 21st February.

Currently, there are ten English players who are playing in this tournament. This is the very first time that the entire event is taking place in Pakistan. Ali said that considering the fact that England players are giving their approval to go to Pakistan to play indicates their interest in visiting. Furthermore, he revealed that there are on-going talks about the team visiting Pakistan. When this happens, he will be a part of the squad.

Talks are underway for the England cricket team to visit Pakistan. At the moment, there are 10 English cricketers in Pakistan playing in the PSL, which shows that we [England] are interested in coming here and playing. If the England team comes to Pakistan, I will be a part of it.”

PSL 2020 to happen in Pakistan

On top of that, Ali said that this event is an extremely powerful initiative by Pakistan. The event heavily contributes in enhancing Pakistan cricket. Additionally, it allows players to understand the passion Pakistan fans have for the game. Finally, he concluded by saying that it is important that other formats such as Tests and ODIs start returning to the country. Pakistan Cricket Board is pulling off an event such as PSL 2020 all by themselves. This alone is a huge achievement for the country.
