The threat of COVID-19 is becoming increasingly severe. Almost every nation is going into lockdown with public venues and transportations being closed. One of the nations which is under complete lockdown is India. As a result, the entire Indian cricket team is following protocols and staying at home. One of the players who took to Twitter to share his experience of quarantine is Shikhar Dhawan.
Shikhar Dhawan posted a video of himself doing the laundry and cleaning the washroom. On the other hand, his wife, Aesha Dhawan, is doing her makeup and talking over the phone. In this staged video, the background music depicts the life of a man whose life changes after marriage. He uses the caption “Life after one week at home. Reality hits hard.”
Several players responded to the tweet. In fact, almost all responses to the tweet is a note of hearty laughter.
However, David Warner responds to the video by saying “I hear you.” This hints towards the fact that even he might be going through the same situation at home.
The Coronavirus threat needs to be brought under control before it becomes an epidemic. The only way to do this is by maintaining social distance. Therefore, the Prime Minister of India announced that India will go under lockdown for a 21-day period. Any movement other than that of essential services workers is prohibited. During these difficult times, Indian players are rising to support the nation and lend a helping hand.
On top of that, all players are getting the break from their schedule. They are getting to spend more time with their family as a result of the outbreak.
