The world is battling Coronavirus right now and citizens are doing their bit by staying indoors. However, being in quarantine can become nerve wrecking after a point. Therefore, players such as Virat Kohli and Kevin Pietersen are taking to live sessions to interact with each other and their audience.
On 1st of April, Virat Kohli took to Twitter to let his audience and fans know about the live session. Kohli and Pietersen plan to discuss the events around the world, their lives, and the time they have known each other.
This is not the first time that Virat Kohli takes to twitter to address his fans. Previously when the lockdown of India was announced, he posted a video which talks about the importance of staying home. His wife, Anushka Sharma, and him spoke about how following Government protocols is the only way to actually curb the spread of Coronavirus.
Even Kevin Pietersen takes to twitter to announce the session. In fact, he links his tweet to an Instagram post that shows the younger self of Virat Kohli. There is a possibility that the audience who joins the session will be able to discover a lot of young Kohli.
Other players such as Rohit Sharma, Irfan Pathan, Jos Buttler are doing their part to make sure the virus can be fought.
Rohit Sharma made a contribution of INR 80 lakhs. Brother Irfan and Yusuf Pathan donated 4,000 surgical masks to the ones who need them. Jos Buttler put his 2019 World Cup jersey up for auction.
Right now, almost every nation is at a standstill. The only way to fight this virus is to make sure no one steps out. Physical contact should be minimum and personal hygiene at the maximum. The public can make donations to several organisations who are trying to help in this battle against Coronavirus.
