Sachin Tendulkar keeps opting for fielding over batting

Sachin Tendulkar is constantly choosing fielding over batting every time he is winning a toss. According to Virender Sehwag, fielding before batting exhausts the entire team. Therefore, when the time to bat comes, the team is low on energy.

“We are getting sore while fielding and Sachin elected to bowl first and makes us field 20 overs, tires us before batting.”

India Legends secure two consecutive victories

The first match was between India Legends and West Indies Legends. India won the toss and skipper Tendulkar decided to bowl first. During that match, the opening partnership between Sehwag and Tendulkar was the highlight. The duo scores a total of 83 runs. Within these runs, Sachin Tendulkar registers 7 smashing boundaries. On the other hand, Virender Sehwag’s score stands at 74 runs from 57 balls. On the bowling side, all three players Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel, and Pragyan Ojha bags 2 wickets each.

The second match of India Legends was against the Sri Lanka legends. This match includes certain unexpected twists and turns. Obviously, India won the toss and Tendulkar takes the decision to field first. The Sri Lanka legends manages to score a total of 138 runs for 20 overs. Mohammad Kaif showcases two brilliant catches. The catches dismissed Sri Lanka captain Tillakaratne Dilshan and Chamara Kapugedera.

Coming to the batting side, it was actually Irfan Pathan whose score put India on the winning track. Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag did not score at all. Tendulkar’s score is 0 while Sehwag’s score is 3. Irfan Khan comes on-field at 6th and scores a quick half-century. This quick 50 ends up contributing heavily to the 139 runs India needed to win.
