Indian batsman Shikhar Dhawan shared a video today urging people to donate money in these difficult times.
India is facing a crisis these days owing to the coronavirus outbreak. The country is in complete lockdown for 21days to prevent the further spread of the deadly virus. The number of coronavirus cases climbed to 649 in India on Thursday and the death toll due to COVID-19 rose to 13.
The pandemic is also affecting the country economically. Therefore, the government has started a PM fund where citizens can donate for the well being of other people in these testing times. This fund aims to help workers who work on daily wages.

Shikhar Dhawan also posted a video on his official twitter handle supporting this noble cause.
In the video, he can be seen urging people to donate as per there capabilities to help the daily wage workers and also to support the government in providing medical facilities. He further added that we all should fight with the virus together and free our nation from COVID-19.
Along with a video, Shikhar wrote a heartwarming caption. He tweeted, “Hi everyone remember to stay indoors & take care of your family and yourself. Shikhar Dhawan last donned the Indian jersey against Australia
The left-handed batsman last played for India in an ODI series against Australia. Dhawan played well in the first two ODI matches against Australia scoring 74 and 96 runs respectively. However, he couldn’t play the third match due to an injury on his left shoulder.

Shikhar Dhawan recently recovered from his injury and was there in the Indian Squad for the South African series. But the series got abandoned due to the coronavirus scare in the country.
